Shared back-office for four Nordic marketplaces
Led the fullstack architecture behind the back-office shared by Blocket, FINN, DBA and Tori, and introduced an AI-assisted workflow that cut typical delivery time from about three days to one.
The challenge
Vend (formerly Schibsted Marketplaces) runs Blocket, FINN, DBA and Tori. The four brands needed one shared back-office and set of internal tools, delivered in the middle of a major cross-brand migration and with limited capacity on the team.
What we built
Led the fullstack architecture for the shared back-office, its internal tools and the microfrontends that compose it, with type safety running from the GraphQL schema through to the interface. Designed an AI-assisted development workflow, grounded in written architecture decisions, so engineers could ship production code beyond their usual part of the stack, and open-sourced the agent skills behind it. As the appointed lead for the back-office area, set the golden path the team builds on.
The result
The team was the first to deliver in the cross-brand migration, and typical delivery time dropped from about three days to one. We co-presented the approach to the whole company (300+ people) and followed up with workshops.
